Frame Design:With its unique triple cavity frame design, The Moustache Xroad 4 doesn’t compromise on stiffness or weight unlike many other open frame designs flooding the bike industry. The result is a low step, light weight frame with perfect handling and a sleek silhouette to boot!
An 100mm travel fork and a suspension seatpost, the Moustache Xroad 4 is the epitome of versatility and comfort. Why did the team at Moustache labour over this frame design for three years? In order to have an ultra low-step frame, the top tube which provides most of the strength, must be completely removed. Normally this will result in a frame with excessive flex giving wobbly handling. To add strength, many manufacturers simply add more metal, that of course results in more weight and often without achieving the lateral stiffness required for the confident handling of an eBike. For so many reasons the Moustache Xroad is New Zealand’s most sought after Rail Trail machine. Bosch motor and battery The Moustache Xroad 4 is powered by Bosch’s Performance Line SPORT motor – assists up to 38 kph!! (only avail in NZ and USA) , the benchmark in efficient and versatile motors. The 625wh PowerTube battery is seamlessly integrated into the frame while remaining easy to take on and off. The integrated charge port on the bike makes recharging a breeze. Integrated PartsThe Xroad comes equipped with practical and stylish accessories such as a luggage rack, dual wall aluminium mudguards and powerful lights front and rear. The luggage rack with QL3 system means you can attach the Moustache by Ortlieb panniers, Moustache Clark Backpack or any other QL3 panniers in seconds, giving the Xroad even more versatility.
