I picked up my brand new X Road 3 Open from Len today and am overjoyed with the product, it is everything it is purported to be, and a stunning looker. From the get-go, Len locked into my needs, and then methodically guided me through the sizings and features. A test ride which included one of the steepest local hills left me gobsmacked at this bike's capabilities. Len assembled tmy bike the same day, and talked me through all it's functions leaving no stone unturned. I rode the local seafront this evening and tried the bike over some very undulating grassed-over dunes. I would have no qualms about taking this biker on the Timber trail, much of which is grade 3. I bought a Samedi 27 X Road 3 from Anebike. I was having real problems finding an XL size model in the country but when I got hold of Len he was fantastic to deal with and couldn’t have been more helpful. He spent about an hour with me when I picked it going over everything on these beauties. That was so different to my past experience with other retailers. There was a slight adjustment issue with the chain that happened on my first ride but again Len dealt with it professionally and expertly. I just wanted to let you know I'm loving my new X Road FS 3. I've taken it out a few times now, including on some off road tracks with gravel, mud, rocks, etc, and it performs great through everything. The rear suspension was worth it, and it's really comfortable to ride. Plus every time I go out in the shed it makes me smile to see it as it's a work of art!

I just wanted to start by saying that I'm very happy with the Moustache Samedi 27 X Road 5 Open eBike. It's going great and it is really very enjoyable to ride, I wish I had got one sooner! I've been doing some K's so far about 150 in the first two weeks. I had hoped to do more this long weekend but the weather here in the sunny Bay has turned wet and cold, but we need the rain. I've managed to see and ride some of the local cycle tracks that I otherwise wouldn't have had the leg power to do! so it's been really nice to do those so far and I've more planned to do. I wanted to thank you too Len for spending that time with me at the start, a couple of hours, when I purchased my eBike to go over everything in detail including even the basic's that I wasn't otherwise focusing on like cadence and proper use of the gears. That info plus all the information specific to my Moustache eBike makes me feel like I'm so much better prepared. Since then I've read up more online about Moustache eBike's and it reinforced to me what a good purchase I've made, a real quality and top performing eBike I've now got.

I just wanted to let you know that my fantastic Moustache ebike is the BEST thing I have ever bought!
I ride it several times a week, usually for 25 kms or more each time, and have attached a photo to show you my mileage as of a few days ago!
I have had 3 punctures, replaced the back tyre, and have a new chain - so I really do ride the bike in all conditions!
However, thanks to your thorough instructions, I clean, lube and polish the bike very regularly!
Andrew and I belong to an active ebike group in Cambridge, and we often go on rides for around 60kms, and take our bikes all over the North Island.
It is great to have 4 Moustache ebikes, from you, in our group.
Needless to say, they stand out for durability, looks and quality...mind you, i am rather biased!
I keep an eye on the Moustache website, and see the latest bikes. Apart from the gorgeous new, bright colours, I am perfectly happy with my bike!

Just a quick note to let you know how I am getting on with the new bike. I have been for a few rides since I bought it. From 25 km rides on mountain bike trails to a 50 km ride today that included 15 Km off road and the rest on roads or footpaths.
Basically the bike has exceeded my expectations and I am loving getting out on the trails.. I look forward to hills. Battery life seems good. The 50 km ride today used about 70% of the battery.. This ride included quite a few hills and I am not light.
The bike now has a couple of scratches but all good. It is being used.

Good ride? OMG, it was the best I’ve ever had!! Put some slicks on and did a 40 km hilly road circuit out in the countryside. I wouldn’t normally go out on a day this windy but the conditions didn’t matter one bit. I tried to conserve the battery by starting out in Eco but gradually went up and finished the last 10 kms in Turbo and the battery meter still shows 4 out of 5 lights!! It might just handle the Great Barrier circuit after all (which is 5 hours, compared to 1:20 today, although the 5 hours will probably drop down to 4). The display and ease of using it REALLY impressed me. I can’t think of how it could be improved, everything on it is perfect. I haven’t even read the manual & I reckon I got it sussed. It even told me when to change up a gear. Actually the whole bike mirrors the display in that it has no unnecessary bells & whistles, just what is needed. The words functional simplicity come to mind. My top speed was 72 kph going down a steep hill, obviously without the motor. I don’t think I’ve ever got over 65 kph on my carbon racing bike! But the real joy was going up my first steep windy hill towards the end of the ride. It blasted me up so fast it was exhilarating, yet I still felt the pump I needed just not the normal bordering-on-heart-attack feel I used to get. It was a really good workout as I rode as hard as I could to save the battery but it never once got to the grinding-it-out stage where previously I would suffer about 30 minutes in that zone for that ride – was all joy, no pain. It’s also nice to have a bike that doesn’t rattle J I was surprised how low top gear was but who needs to go faster than 40 kph along the flats anyway. Wow! It’s exceeded all my expectations. I didn’t sleep after 2.30am this morning stressing that I’d done a stupid thing spending all that $. Tonight I’m going sleep real well knowing that I’ve made a great decision ... and thanks for helping me along with it! At 48 years of age I’ve been struggling to get out the door for the rides & I think it turns into a sort of vicious circle where the less you do, the less fit you become, the rides become more painful & so you more reluctant to do it again, find more excuses etc. Now I can’t wait for my next ride, especially on the trails.

Just had to say that I’m enjoying the bike more & more.
On my first ride I was changing through all the modes, switching on/off at stops etc. Now I just put it in Turbo and leave it there! So it’s even more simple again.
I had a great ride today & went past so many riders struggling up hills, if only they knew they don’t have to put up with that pain & yet still get a full workout. I’m not even sure if all that pain improves fitness much. Riding more often does though J
I reckon you’re going to get real busy once word catches on. Will carry your cards/flyers in my bike pack as bound to get enquiries.
Thank again mate, got a lot of work challenges at the moment & only have to think of the Moustache to return a sile to my face.

Finally fine enough for our Sunday ride....put a coat over the battery & didn't let on (only 3 of us today) First big hill (had on Eco mode & made it look like I was struggling a bit) funny smelly Scotsman that organises the group bleated on about E-bikes. (he evidently hired a bike for the day & was pretty rapt with it).....he said he would teach us all to ride an E-bike on our next ride - still said nothing but had to hide my smile. He also hired e-bike for a day in Waiheke so getting serious.
Next big hill was coming up at Orakei (long & steep) decided to make my bolt there in Turbo mode ...overtook the Scot & flew up the hill laughing so much my face hurt! I'm usually crawling behind him (he is quite fit for 70 something)...I thought they must know now but still didn't twig! The Scott looked a bit mortified when I said he was slowing down on the hills a bit. Finally let the cat out of the bag - they were surprised as it doesn't look like an E-bike. Then it pissed down with rain & they decided to take the train.....not I - won't take me long to zoom home! Think they were a bit dejected but I couldn't help myself.
O I had fun, even dripping wet - had a decent run but didn't use much battery.
I'm so in love with my silver beast....had to tell you this funny story also cc. to my friend Len who recommended me to you...he said you can't go wrong with a name like that! He brought an e-bike.

Did the Waihi Trail ride on weekend and loved every minute of it and looking forward to doing many more. The hardest bit now is not the hills but getting the "butt" into shape. =)
Would highly recommend to all riders especially women or anyone that doesnt get out there due to disabilities or the such.
It is now a pleasure to be able to get out and ride with faster riders and be able to keep up.
I am fitter now than I ever have been . Its great to have the option of having the power of the ebike or riding it as a conventional bike.
All Kevins hardened mountain bike riders are all impressed and reckon they would get one if they ever cant ride to their maximum as they get older. They are all amazed how easy it is to ride and how comfortable it is .
Any one wants an honest opinion on one send them my way.
